You will be met by your guide at the Port of Istanbul where you will begin your Private Istanbul Tour. First we will visit
Underground Cistern (Yerebatan Sarayi) In this historical place one discovers the grandiose nature of the past when touring through Istanbul’s largest and most magnificent underground Cistern. Built by Emperor Justinian in the 6th century to supply water to the near-by palace complex, the cistern has a total of 336 decorated columns.
Turkish & Islamic Arts Museum Former 16. century Ottoman Palace known as Ibrahim Pasa Palace, than millitary barracks, final become museum. Specific items on display here are funeral belts, bejeweled objects such as candlesticks decorated with valuable gems, pearl reading desks, carved cooper cups, royal crests, clothing belonging to Sultan Yıldırım Beyazıt and Sultan Selim II, carpets from the Caucasus, and intricately carved doors. In addition, there are exquisite manuscripts of the Quran, Ottoman miniatures, as well as various edicts of the Ottoman Sultans, not to mention keys to the Kaba.
Hippodrome, center of sportive (chariot races, athletics) events and political activities of the old city. Obelisk of heodosius, Serpentine Column, German Fountain of Wilhelm II are the monuments decorating Hippodrome.
Grand Covered Bazaar, Most attractive shopping center and biggest “souk” in the world with nearly 4000 shops selling antiques, jewellery, gold, carpets, leatherwear and souvenirs. Once the tour has finished you will be returned to the Port of Istanbul.
